Job Description

• Labor and Delivery nursing role working night shifts.
• Requires clinical skills specific to labor and delivery nursing.

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid RN license in California (Primary source verification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration).
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification, renewed every 2 years.

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine and 1 booster proof or approved exemption (optional for submission, but must be approved).
• MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive IGG titer, or booster/declination accepted.
• Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 vaccinations, positive antibody titer, or booster/declination accepted.
• TB Test: Negative test within 30 days of start; updated annually. If positive, additional documentation required.
• Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted.
• Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted.
• Influenza vaccine required seasonally (October - March) unless exempted.
• Health statement signed within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions; updated annually.
• Drug screen (9 panel minus THC) within 30 days of start; updated annually. Retesting required if break in service >30 days.
• COVID test required on start date for clinical staff.

Professional & Background Requirements

• Resume/profile submission required.
• Two professional references required (at least one supervisory).
• Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including 7-year county, national, SSN trace, employment verification (5 years), OFAC, and NSO; updated every 3 years.
• Manual OIG, EPLS, OFAC, National Sex Offender, and Medi-Cal Suspended/Ineligible Provider List searches within 30 days of start; updated annually or monthly as applicable.
• Confirmation of assignment/job description matching order details; updated with each extension.
• Acknowledgement of receipt for policy packet.
• Dispute resolution agreement signed.
• Badge photo with neutral background, no facial jewelry.
• Release of Information (ROI) for MyChart signed and dated.
• Attestation regarding any Do Not Rehire/Send (DNS) records from prior 3 years.
• Education verification (diploma, degree, transcripts, or board certification) prior to first assignment and upon requalification.
• Skills checklist specific to clinical role completed within 1 year of start.
• Confidentiality of receipt signed.

Additional Notes

• Fit test will be completed onsite on start date.
• Optional items include social security trace, driving record, and opt-in sheet.
• HLC testing is optional and must be completed by Friday before start date for stipend eligibility.
