Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Department: Cath Lab
• Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
• Hours per week: 40
• On-call requirements:

  • Monday to Thursday evenings/nights (5:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
  • Every weekend (Friday 6:30 AM through Sunday 6:30 AM)
  • Holidays as needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Average cases per day: 6
• Number of cath lab suites/labs: 2
• Common procedures: Coronary, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Vascular procedures (No Electrophysiology)
• Cardiologist and IR call coverage: Approximately 10 days per month each
• Floating: Occasional 1:1 sitter assistance

Job Responsibilities

• Sedate, monitor, and circulate cases in the cath lab
• No requirement to scrub during procedures
• Work with cardiac drips and medications
• Use Cerner and Merge EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Experience with sedation and reversal agents
• Experience with cardiac drips and medications

Orientation & Dress Code

• Unit-specific orientation includes computer-based training (CBTs) assigned on day 1, to be completed within the first week
• Orientation binder to be completed and checked off
• Hospital provides light blue scrubs

Additional Information

• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
• Cath Lab Techs handle scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures
• Manager and charge nurse available for support during shifts

This position is suitable for experienced Cath Lab RNs with sedation and cardiac medication expertise, comfortable with on-call responsibilities and working in a busy interventional environment.
