IR Technologist Job Opportunity

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR Tech)
  • Shift: Days
  • Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (40 hours/week)
  • Schedule: Rotating day off, no self-scheduling
  • Call Requirements:
    • 4-5 weeknights per month
    • About 1 weekend per month
    • Holidays on call
    • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • Scrubs: Hospital blue scrubs provided

Job Duties & Environment

  • Imaging procedures include ports, central venous catheters (CVC), embolizations, thrombectomies, and Y-90 treatments
  • Department has 2 scanners/rooms
  • Floating/coverage required in Cath Lab
  • Average 2-8 scans/studies per day
  • Use of PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System) software
  • Equipment primarily Phillips brand
  • Reports to Nurse Manager; lead tech present
  • Radiologist available in-house
  • No IV starts required
  • Agency must provide traveler radiation badge

Required Qualifications

  • Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

  • Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote
  • Must submit driver's license
  • Work radius up to 60 miles from facility

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; Cath Lab experience preferred
  • No prior travel experience explicitly required
