Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Adult (Days)
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position is on a detox unit specializing in substance abuse treatment.
- Substance abuse experience is required; general behavioral health experience alone will not be considered.
- Unit size: 20 beds
- Shift: 8-hour day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
- Call-back, holiday, and overtime pay multipliers apply
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of current substance abuse nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience, with behavioral health experience within the last year
- At least 6 months of total travel nursing experience
- Active BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
Additional Information
- No accommodations for 10- or 12-hour shifts; only 8-hour shifts available
- Facility provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, clinical nurse specialists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses
- The facility is a teaching hospital with a strong reputation for patient safety and clinical excellence
- The detox unit is part of a larger behavioral health program offering inpatient and outpatient services

- Scheduling requests must be finalized at time of submission; requests after offer or during interview will not be approved and may result in offer rescission
- Travelers must hold a Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License to staff temporary needs (to be provided with submission)
