Job Summary

This role supports labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients. Cesarean sections are performed on the unit with OB RN support for the patient and baby.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OB/GYN experience within the last year
OB/GYN (1 year of experience)
LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience
Labor and Delivery experience
Post Partum experience
NRP
ACLS
AWHONN Basic fetal monitoring
Med Surg experience
ED - Emergency Department experience
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Mental Health experience

Work Expectations

Float to med/surg, ED, ICU, and Mental Health as a 1:1 sitter; no nursing assignment
May occasionally be placed on call if census is low

Unit Details

11 beds
Approximately 400 deliveries per year
Core staffing is 4 RNs per shift
Typical ratios: 1:1 for labor and 2–3 mom/baby couplets per nurse
