Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Job Description

• Provide inpatient occupational therapy services with float responsibilities to acute care units.
• Acute care experience is required.
• Acute care settings may include Neuro, Cancer, Med Surg, ICU, Nephrology, and Cardiac units.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Georgia
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of identity: Government-issued photo ID (color copy required).
• Proof of eligibility to work (I9 and E-Verify).
• Background check: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including SSN trace, counties, national sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks, and education verification.
• Education verification or diploma/transcript required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted). For past positives, chest x-ray within 2 years and TB questionnaire within 30 days of start.
• Immunizations or titers required: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination accepted). Declination forms accepted where applicable.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (September 3 - March 31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided. Exempted staff must wear masks at all times.
• Fit test for masks completed onsite at no cost.

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS certification (AHA or ARC provider/instructor accepted).
• Annual medication/pharmacology competency exam and other core competency exams as required.
• Facility-specific health and safety training modules must be completed prior to start date.

References & Evaluations

• Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months of start (Charge RN references accepted but not preferred).
• Performance and internal evaluations required if previously worked with the agency for over 1 year.

Additional Notes

• Facility-specific forms and photo for badge must be submitted promptly (photo must be a professional-style headshot, not a selfie).
• Dress code must be reviewed by the candidate.
• Fingerprinting via Georgia Criminal History Check System (GCHEXS) required only for CNAs; not applicable for this OT role.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
