Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Racine, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Description

• Work every 3rd weekend, End of Hour (EOH) shift.
• Must have at least 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• NIH Certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Onboarding and Documentation Requirements

• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment.
• Completion of signed assignment agreement and onboarding education attestations.
• Submission of Ascension Badge Photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters).
• Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding onsite.
• Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and EPLS within 90 days of start.
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually.
• Confirmation of assignment documentation upon initial assignment and each extension.
• Optional: Ascension Unit Specific Checklist and Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) certification.

Additional Notes

• Must maintain all certifications and health requirements current throughout the assignment.
• Floating to other units or nearby sites may be required based on staffing needs.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with prior travel nursing experience seeking a 13-week long-term assignment in Wisconsin.
