Registered Nurse (LTC/SNF)

Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Facility & Unit Details

• Type of Facility: Long Term Care (LTC)
• Unit Size: 26 beds/residents
• EMR System: Matrix
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

  • Day shift: 1:10
  • Night shift: 1:19
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Heart disease, diabetes, dementia
• No telemetry monitors or acute inpatient rehab beds
• No IVs or titratable drips on unit
• Oxygen Therapy: Concentrators and portable concentrators available
• Pharmacy: Off-site medication dispensing system
• Interdisciplinary Team: PT as needed, social worker designee; no 24/7 respiratory therapist onsite
• Physician availability: On-call by phone after hours

Job Duties

• Act as charge nurse
• Pass medications
• Perform wound care

Scheduling & Requirements

• 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Every other major holiday
• No call, standby, or floating requirements
• No blocked or self-scheduling
• Orientation: 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Nursing Home experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting
• BLS Certification

Additional Information

• Dress code: Clean and presentable; no specific scrub color required
• Radius rule: Candidates must live within 50 miles and may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any related facilities
• Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approvals
