Description
Sonographer (Vascular) – Night Shift
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work approximately 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
- Use of EPIC electronic medical record system
- Average of 15 scans per day
- Patient types include General, OB/GYN (non high-risk), and Vascular
- Procedures include abdomen, small parts, 1st-3rd trimester OB (dating, measurements, BPPs, fetal anatomy), transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging, venous and arterial dopplers, ABIs, aorta duplex, carotid doppler, hepatic and renal doppler
- Preferred experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer
- ARDMS certification
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted if they have at least 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Orientation provided (specific dates not included here)
- On-call and holiday work required as per unit needs
- Call back and charge/precept pay multipliers apply (details excluded)
