Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: DeWitt, Iowa

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule Notes: No weekends, every other holiday

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room setting.

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Valid RN license in Iowa.

Certifications (Must be current and uploaded)

• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• PALS issued by American Heart Association.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
• ED experience must be within the last year.

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Fit Test (respirator mask fit testing).
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (must be completed within 30 days of start; excludes THC).
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of booster by September 2025, or declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
• MMR: Proof of two vaccinations or immunity titer.
• Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start; titers not accepted.
• Influenza Vaccine: Optional but recommended.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) for TB screening.
• Varicella: Proof of vaccination or immunity titer.
• Tdap: Current vaccine required; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction.

Professional and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years, dated within 30 days of start.
• Social Security Number verification.
• Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED).
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days.
• OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days.
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days.
• Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only).
• Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry check within 30 days prior to start.
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form.
• Code of Conduct Form.
• Confidentiality and Information System Security Agreement.
• Integrity and Audit Services Form.
• Non-Employee Upload Form.
• System Access Form (to be completed and uploaded one week before start).
• Joint Commission CORE Exam within the past year.
• Specialty Specific Competency Testing within the past year.
• Skills Checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.
• Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
• Trinity Profile submission including resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references.

Additional Notes

• Must attach scanned copies of all required certifications and licenses with expiration dates.
• All documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
• The assignment offers no weekend shifts and every other holiday off, supporting work-life balance.
