Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Job Description
- Must have experience in Cardiac OR or related area.
- Pediatric experience preferred (position is in a pediatric hospital).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (06:45 AM – 5:00 PM).
- One day off per week.
- Call coverage required.
- EPIC charting experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- CVOR experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Competencies
- Pediatric Pharmacology competency exam required.
- General competency exam required.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start required.
- N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (3M N95, specific models required).
- Tdap vaccine required (no declinations accepted).
- Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot within 3 months; PPD not accepted).
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B: proof of positive titer or declination accepted.
- Seasonal flu vaccination mandatory for the current season (no exemptions).
- Drug testing: 10-panel plus nicotine/cotinine test within 60 days of start.
Background and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) required and must be carried during work hours.
- Social Security card required.
- E-Verify proof required.
- Background check within 30 days of start (7-year criminal check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.
- Education verification via diploma/transcripts required (copy of nursing degree from accredited college).
- Proof of 2 clinical references required.
- Complete employment application/resume required.
- Skills checklist for applicable unit must be updated annually.
- Signed confidentiality and security agreement required prior to start.
- Proof of OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training required.
Additional Notes
- Minimal to no return to office (RTO) time expected; must be included on submission.
- Facility will send specific facility documents and instructions directly to the traveler prior to start.
- If unable to complete N95 fit test prior to start, onsite testing is possible but discouraged and must be completed before clearance to work.
- Facial hair must be removed if it interferes with N95 fit testing; PAPR accommodation requests can be submitted if needed.
