MRI Technologist (Night Shift) - Temp Position

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to work night shifts in a diagnostic imaging department. The role involves working alongside another Tech Aide or MRI Tech/Traveler; solo shifts are not permitted. After midnight coverage is provided by on-call staff.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Night shift, 8 hours per day
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
• Must be willing to take call as needed
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment; all RTO must be submitted and approved at time of application—no changes accepted after offer
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Equipment & Patient Load

• Experience with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI equipment required
• Approximately 9 patients per shift
• Department provides 24-hour diagnostic imaging services including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and more

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI Certification (MR)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with GE Healthcare MRI equipment

• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply
• Facility is a 298-bed teaching hospital with a strong reputation for patient safety and clinical excellence
• Facility is fully accredited by The Joint Commission
