Radiology Technologist (Xray Tech) - Travel Assignment in Kansas

Job Details

• Location: Garden City, Kansas
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (36-hour guarantee)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5x8 hour shifts with rotating call on Sunday nights
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Yes, depending on shift
• Call Requirement: Sunday night call with a 30-minute response time
• Orientation: Week of orientation required in-state; coordinate with department lead

Department & Work Environment

• Radiology - General X-Ray
• 2 X-ray rooms, 2 portable units, 3 C-arms
• Imaging performed includes outpatient, ER, ICU, floor X-rays, OR, Fluoroscopy (if working days)
• After 7 pm, coverage includes general ER, ICU, and inpatient X-rays, occasional surgeries or finishing late surgeries
• Average 5-20 X-rays per shift, occasional surgery assistance
• Equipment: GE imaging systems
• EMR: EPIC; PACS: Synapse Fuji
• Radiologist on-site during weekdays (M, T, Th 7:30 am - 4 pm), on-call after hours
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) on staff
• No IV starts required
• No dress code or scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Kansas (LRT)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Experience with Digital Radiography (DR) skills and some OR experience
• Ability to work independently and assist CT technologist with patient transfers

Additional Information

• Must be available for a profile review and interview with the unit manager
• Must submit a driver’s license and be within a 60-mile radius for orientation
• Agency must provide traveler radiation badge
• Flexible scheduling with some ability to request time off, shifts can be covered as needed
