Description

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Douglas, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night

Job Description

  • Work primarily in Labor and Delivery with a patient load including 6 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, 5 postpartum/well-baby rooms, and 2 NICU beds in the nursery.
  • Approximately 80-90 births per month.
  • May need to float to Mother Baby unit occasionally.
  • Every other weekend schedule.
  • Charting system used: Centricity; medication charting with Paragon.
  • Staffing ratios follow AWHONN standards.
  • Candidates should be able to take charge in their role.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP

Additional Information

  • No floating to other units outside of Mother Baby.
  • No charge nurse responsibilities expected.
