Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Day Shift
Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), 4NW
- Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every third weekend required
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-appropriate)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- All licenses and certifications must be verified and dated within 30 days of start date
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Fit test for respirators
- Negative 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- COVID-19 vaccination with booster proof required (declination not accepted in Illinois)
- Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
- Influenza vaccine recommended (optional)
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test required; chest x-ray if positive TB history
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Physical exam within the last year confirming fitness to work
Professional & Background Checks
- Resume and skills checklist (within one year)
- Two professional references
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years, including SSN verification
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED)
- Exclusion screenings (EPLS, OIG, NSO) dated within 30 days of start
- Conflict of interest disclosure form
- Code of conduct form
- Confidentiality and information security agreement
- Integrity and audit services form
- System access form (completed and uploaded one week before start)
- Core competency exam within the last year
Additional Information
- Agency will provide a clinical skills checklist prior to onboarding
- All documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system before or at onboarding
