Surgical Tech
Location
- Arroyo Grande, California
Contract
- Travel contract
- 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Day shifts
- Variable 8- or 10-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- IAHCSMM or CBSPD
Preferred Qualifications
- CST preferred
Work Setting
- Hospital OR
- 7 operating suites
- 18–20 cases per day
Responsibilities
- Scrubbing for surgical cases
- Floating limited to pre-op and post-op only
- Sterile processing duties include assembly of sets and decontamination duties
Schedule and Call
- Weekend call required
- Some nights and weekends
- 1 week of night call per week
- 2 weekend call shifts per month, 12 hours each
- 30-minute call response time
- Holidays required
Additional Details
- Charge nurse present
- OR techs present
- Floor-specific orientation provided
- Common case types include laparoscopic, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, uro, GYN, and ENT
- Scrub color provided
