Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Location
Murphysboro, Illinois
Schedule
- Nights
- 36 hours per week
- 3 shifts per week
- 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC
Role Overview
- Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide health teaching and counseling to support patient health
- Use clinical judgment and critical thinking to recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Document care accurately and on time in the medical record
- Support patient safety and quality of care through policy and procedure development
- Supervise and delegate to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistant personnel
- Advocate for patients by communicating and collaborating with other health service professionals
