Medical Surgical RN Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Location: Randallstown, Maryland
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
Unit / Patient Population
- Surgical orthopedics med-surg unit
- Receives admissions from the ED that meet admission criteria
- Cares for medical-surgical and post-op patients
- Common patient types include general surgery, orthopedics, bariatrics, plastics, and urology
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
Documentation / Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID
- Employment application
- Professional references
- Work history verification
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- TB questionnaire
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or documentation
- Fit testing
- Background check and required screening verifications
- Required onboarding acknowledgements and facility forms
