Description

Registered Nurse — Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Overview

Travel/contract role in Burlington, North Carolina
Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Every other weekend and holidays as needed
13-week contract
Inpatient stroke/neuro population with multiple comorbidities
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–1:6

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
MAB
NIHSS
Pass/fail EKG testing required for RNs
Telemetry remote monitoring experience
Feeding tube care and management experience
Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs
Experience with CVA, nasal cannula, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, and patient ratios of 1:5–1:6

Scheduling / Work Expectations

Floating is required across all facilities
Must be flexible with scheduling
Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
EPIC familiarity is listed in the job data
Compliance must be completed by noon EST on the Wednesday before the start date
