MRI Technologist
Job Overview
- Contract role in York, Maine
- Full-time, 36 hours per week
- Scheduled for Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday
- 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
- Variable shifts may be required based on census
- Holidays are covered by call, and assistance may be requested
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT
- Associate degree or certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures, including building and using protocols
- Screen patients for contraindications and follow safety requirements
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and address concerns
- Educate patients on procedures and answer questions
- Maintain patient and staff safety during imaging
- Monitor patients visually and verbally at all times
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment
- Monitor equipment status and inventory
- Provide care appropriate to geriatric, pediatric, and general patient populations
