Interventional Technologist I

Location

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 4x10 shifts
• On-call coverage on nights and weekends, approximately 8–10 shifts per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• ARRT (RT)
• Graduation from a post-secondary health science program, which may include fields such as cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT

Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of medical imaging principles, patient positioning, and medical ethics
• Core knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to specialty imaging procedures
• Ability to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation
• Knowledge of sterile fields and safe patient care practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and standards
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, remain calm under stress, work collaboratively, and maintain accurate records

Job Highlights

• Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
• Supports procedures such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management
• Acts as a scrub tech during procedures
• May support teaching, precepting, and onboarding of team members
