Description

Registered Nurse — Telemetry

Overview

  • Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Weekend/holiday expectation: Every 3rd weekend; holidays as needed
  • Float requirement: Required across campuses if needed
  • Patient ratio: 1:6

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

  • Acute care rehab experience

Key Clinical Skills / Responsibilities

  • Interpret laboratory results
  • Perform medication reconciliation
  • Assess patient history, allergies, and vital signs
  • Complete dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays
  • Collect and label specimens, including capillary, throat, urine (clean catch/UA), and phlebotomy specimens
  • Handle telephone triage and pharmacy calls/refill requests

Clinical Population / Unit Focus

  • Inpatient rehabilitation for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, generalized debility, stroke, aneurysm, and post-op surgical rehabilitation needs

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and punctuality expectations are strict
  • Compliance deadline is Wednesday at 12:00 PM EST before the start date
