Registered Nurse — Telemetry

Overview

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekend/holiday expectation: Every 3rd weekend; holidays as needed
Float requirement: Required across campuses if needed
Patient ratio: 1:6

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

Acute care rehab experience

Key Clinical Skills / Responsibilities

Interpret laboratory results
Perform medication reconciliation
Assess patient history, allergies, and vital signs
Complete dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays
Collect and label specimens, including capillary, throat, urine (clean catch/UA), and phlebotomy specimens
Handle telephone triage and pharmacy calls/refill requests

Clinical Population / Unit Focus

Inpatient rehabilitation for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, generalized debility, stroke, aneurysm, and post-op surgical rehabilitation needs

Additional Notes

Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and punctuality expectations are strict
Compliance deadline is Wednesday at 12:00 PM EST before the start date
