Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Location

Cambridge, Massachusetts

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
Acute Care experience
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Post Partum experience

Preferred Qualifications

Lactation certification
Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted

Clinical Notes

Common patient types include post-vaginal delivery, post-c-section delivery, intermittent postpartum magnesium, and postpartum hemorrhage
Required medications/drips include IV antibiotics, intermittent IV magnesium, PRBC, Rhogam, and Lovenox
Unit equipment includes blood pressure monitor, fetal monitor, venodynm machine, IV pump, panda warmer, and Medela breast pump
Newborn patients
13 postpartum beds and 4 continuing care nursery beds

Additional Information

Flu vaccine required during season
Scrubs are provided
Hospital system-wide orientation: 3 days
Unit orientation: 3 days
Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
