Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Location: Dothan, Alabama
• Setting: Urology unit
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Hours per week: 48
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• High acuity experience
• Proficiency with Heparin drips

Additional Considerations

• New travelers are accepted
• Peritoneal dialysis experience is a plus
• Block booking may be available except on holidays
• Every other weekend is required

Compliance and Onboarding

• Orientation is every other Monday
• Contracts end on Tuesday due to the Wednesday–Tuesday pay period
• Compliance must be completed 1 week prior to start
• COVID vaccination is required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is approved
• Flu vaccination is required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is approved
• APS clearance is required before orientation
• 2 clinical references are required
• Physical exam, TB screening, drug screen, and annual fit test are required
• NURSYS verification and state license verification are required
• Education verification and standard background screening are required

Worksite Notes

• Candidate must live at least 90 miles from the facility
• Scrubs: all navy or navy pants with a white top
