  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Active BLS and ACLS
  • Arizona RN license or compact license
  • 2+ years of current telemetry experience
  • Ability to titrate drips
  • Ability to interpret EKGs
  • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam before starting
  • Must pass a simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
  • COVID-19 vaccination required, or a declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or an MD

Schedule Requirements

  • Frequent floating is required, including between campuses and to other units as needed
  • Every other weekend
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Unit / Assignment Details

  • Telemetry and medical-surgical float pool assignment
  • May float to ICU, cardiac telemetry, telemetry, medical-surgical, and holding areas
  • May float to a sister campus
  • Centralized telemetry monitoring is used on telemetry units
  • 12-hour day/night coverage on the listed units
  • Navy scrubs

Patient Population

  • Telemetry patients include post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, and general telemetry
  • Medical-surgical patients include orthopedic, surgical, oncology, urological, abdominal, Whipple, and women’s surgery cases
  • Neuro telemetry patients include post-craniotomy, spine, and CVA post-TPA cases
  • No pediatrics; patients are 15 years and older

Additional Notes

  • Charge nurse does not take patients on the listed units
  • RT and pharmacy are available 24/7 on the listed units
