Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown experience with 3 years of experience
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Pediatric Med Surg experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS

Role Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments across pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations
• Revise the plan of care based on patient response and evaluate effectiveness daily
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans, including pain management education
• Provide treatments and services within licensure
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical/manual tasks
• Communicate with the nurse manager, coworkers, physicians, and other departments as needed
• Coordinate and supervise patient care within licensure
• Maintain documentation standards, patient confidentiality, and respectful, professional interactions
• Address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families
• Safely and correctly operate equipment
