Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Lynchburg, Virginia
13-week assignment
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 18:45–7:15
48 hours per week
Must work charge
First-time travelers accepted
Biweekly orientation on Mondays
60-mile radius rule applies
Scrubs: any color; professional appearance required; child-friendly print tops and scrub/lab coat allowed
Nicotine-free campus

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Med Surg experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience in Charge roles
Ability to complete required onboarding documents, skills checklist, references, license verification, and required certifications before start
Pending certifications may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

Oncology experience
ACLS certification

Additional Hiring Requirements

Unexpired government-issued photo ID
Background check
EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
HHS/OIG screening
Physical exam within 6 months of start
Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within required timeframe
TB questionnaire if applicable
Immunization or immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
2 professional references within the past 3 years
Skills checklist
Color blindness screening
Competency exam
Medication/pharmacology competency exam
Signed consent for blood draw
Onboarding form completion
