Registered Nurse (RN) — Behavioral Health
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Employment type: Temp

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Psychiatric experience in an inpatient setting
- 1 year of psychiatric experience within the last year

Role Overview
- Provides nursing care within the RN scope of practice
- Assesses patients and develops nursing diagnoses and care plans
- Administers medications and performs wound care, pain management, and other bedside nursing tasks
- Assists with procedures and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team
- Teaches patients and families about illness, tests, medications, and wellness
- Documents care in the medical record
- Supports a safe therapeutic milieu and participates in treatment team meetings
Skills and Work Environment
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and teaching skills
- Able to respond effectively in patient crisis or emergency situations
- Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record documentation
- Able to read, write legibly, and communicate effectively in English
- Must maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
