Job Overview
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa

- Start timing: Sooner starts prioritized
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with PCA (patient-controlled analgesia)
- Experience with heparin
- Experience with Epic
- Driver's License
Additional Role Details
- Willingness to float across all campuses
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
Clinical Setting
- 30-bed unit
- Typical patient ratio: 1:4–5
- Common patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
- Common drips include PCA and heparin
