- 1 prior travel assignment
- Must be within a 75-mile radius
Unit Details
- 22-bed observation unit
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 or 1:6
- Charge nurse may take patients occasionally
- Heavy telemetry unit with central monitoring
- No ventilators on the unit
- Heparin is the only common titratable drip
- RN performs EKGs and draws labs
Scheduling
- Every other weekend
- Holidays rotate with permanent staff
- No call requirement
- 3-shift unit orientation
Floating
- Float to med-surg
Additional Notes
- Fast-paced unit with high turnover
- Discharges and admissions are common
- Up to 16 discharges per day and refill on the unit
