Description

NICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
Weekly hours: 36 or 48
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule notes: Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed; every other weekend and every other holiday

Role Details

Float pool position covering pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
Clinical review and auto offer
Time off: Up to 40 hours can be approved; no time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Must adhere to float policy

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
Infant-Driven Feeding™ Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience working with Neonate patients
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Pediatric PACU experience
Epic experience

Additional Notes

Candidate should be comfortable working with pediatric patients
Infant-Driven Feeding certification may be submitted pending, but it has a cost of $185
