• Adults to geriatrics

Unit Setting

• Overflow IMCU

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Telemetry experience with 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips

Clinical Experience Needed

• Arrhythmia management
• Cardioversion
• Cardiac CHF
• Chest pain
• Renal
• Pulmonary conditions including COPD and pulmonary edema
• Pulmonary embolism and DVT
• Stable A-fib, SVT, and bradycardia
• Surgical overflow including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, and biliary drains
• Vascular patients
• Post-cardiac cath care
• TR bands
• DKA
• Ortho or CVA overflow
• Basic med-surg and arrhythmia knowledge

Work Conditions

• Ratio: 1:5-6
• 32 beds
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice
• Call is rare with a 2-hour response time
• Typically every other weekend
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Must work major holidays as assigned
• Full compliance required before start

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Epic familiarity is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
