ICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Details

• Travel/contract role
• 14-week contract
• Day shift, 3x12 hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Setting

• Adult to geriatric ICU
• Common diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT
• Patient ratio is 1:2-3, with possible assignment of a third patient
• 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Every other weekend
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• One major holiday must be worked if it falls during the assignment; two major holidays require working both; three major holidays require working two

Additional Notes

• Navy blue scrubs
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Full compliance is required before start
• Background check, education verification, physical, TB clearance, drug screen, immunization/documentation, references, skills checklist, and work history verification are required per onboarding process
• Photo ID required
• Clinical screening will be used to determine fit
