Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Location
Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length
13 weeks
Shift
Nights, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience
- Driver’s license required at submittal
Work Setting
- Emergency department in a Level I trauma center
- Pediatric certified by the state
- Comprehensive stroke center
Key Job Details
- Fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
- Floating required to the OBS unit and a freestanding ER at least once per week
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- Schedule is set by leadership
- Weekend and holiday requirements vary by department needs
Orientation
- 1 week of onboarding
- 2 shifts at one site
- 1 shift at another site
Additional Notes
- Candidate cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- RTO must be submitted upfront; up to 7 days total for the 13-week contract
