Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- CVU - Cardiovascular Unit experience
Role Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments according to physician orders
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
- Document patient status, treatments, and nursing interventions accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals on care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Follow infection control protocols
- Participate in continuing education and training
