Job Overview

Unit Details

• Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in post-cardiac surgery patients directly from the OR
• Patient population includes CABG, valves, Ross procedures, thoracic patients, aortic dissections, and other ICU patients
• Common devices and support used include CRRT, Tablo, Aquadex, Impella, IABP, Heart Mate III, external VAD, and ECMO

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips, including sedation medications and vasoactives
• Perform chest tube and line removal
• Assist with mobilization and daily weights

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
• CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Onboarding / Compliance Requirements

• 2-step TB test or IGRA with negative reads within the last 6 months
• Influenza vaccine proof required October through March, or completion of the listed declination or medical accommodation process
• Background check within 6 months of start
• OIG search within 6 months prior to start
• SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC screening within 6 months prior to start
• Drug screen within 60 days of start
• Required safety and compliance training modules before clearance
• Badge photo upload
• National database criminal background check for Ohio residents to meet fingerprint requirements, if applicable
