Description

Cardiothoracic Surgery RN

Location

Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 4 ten-hour shifts per week
  • 0630–1700
  • Monday–Friday

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • CVOR (2 years of experience)
  • CVOR experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • ED - Emergency Department experience
  • Neuro ICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNOR

Assignment Details

  • CVOR unit
  • Mandatory call: 1–2 nights per week, plus possible weekend call
  • Floating may be required to general OR or BNI OR
  • Cerner/Surginet experience is used in the unit
  • Assigned scrubs: Steel Blue

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete onboarding by 1:00 PM CST on the Wednesday before start
  • Must be available for weekly Monday orientations, except during holiday weeks
  • Cannot work another assignment or contract at the same time
  • Must have been away from CommonSpirit for 12 months as permanent staff to be eligible
  • No facial piercings
  • Natural hair colors only
  • Must have their own vehicle
  • Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required before acceptance for applicable units
  • Day 1 pass/fail exam required
  • SIMs Lab competency expected for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with unit-specific exceptions noted in the source
