- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend
- Self-scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active RN role
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Driver’s license required at submittal
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience
- ONS/ONCC certification
- Chemo certification
Unit Details
- Adult oncology PCU and trauma PCU patient population
- 18-bed unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
- Travelers float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care
Clinical / Work Environment
- High-flow respiratory equipment may be encountered
- Common drips/medications include chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix
- Insulin and Cardizem drips may be titrated occasionally
- Two days of unit orientation
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Pass/fail exam during orientation
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
