Stepdown Cardiac Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Arlington, Virginia
- 13-week assignment
- Rotating 4x12 schedule with days and nights
- Every other weekend
Unit Focus
- Cardiovascular stepdown/telemetry unit caring for cardiac surgery patients after ICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Cardiac Stepdown (2 years of experience)
- Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience managing chest tubes
- Experience managing dysrhythmias
- Telemetry experience
Schedule
- 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Additional Notes
- ASAP start, dependent on EPIC experience/training schedule
- Possible COVID requirement
- Flu vaccination required during flu season; approved medical or religious exemptions may apply
