Labor and Delivery Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Longer assignment available through 01/02/2027
- Clinical review and auto offer
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend
- Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
Unit Details
- Expected to cross-train to Mother/Baby
- May be floated to NICU for feeders/grower patients
- Average annual deliveries: 2,000
- Private labor rooms: 8
- Private triage beds: 4
- OB operating rooms: 2
- Includes low-risk certified nurse midwife population and high-risk maternal fetal medicine patients
