Night Med Surg RN
Location
Lincoln, Nebraska
Job Details
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Unit: Med Surg
- Floating may be required to PCU or Burn
- Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- 1 year of unit experience
- Driver’s license required at submittal
Unit Information
- Patient population includes medical, surgical, and orthopedics
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6–7
- Charge nurse is present on each shift
- Heparin is the only titratable drip used
- RT is available 24 hours on the floor
- Centralized telemetry station is in use
- Nursing support includes CNA coverage and a virtual nurse
Schedule and Orientation
- Shifts run 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
- First week is classroom orientation, followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor
Additional Notes
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days or less for the full contract
