Description

Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Job Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Charlottesville, Virginia
Day shift
36 or 48 hours per week
Floating to pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
Every other weekend required
Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
Longer assignments may be available through 01/02/2027

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Experience working with Neonate patients
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
Infant-Driven Feeding™ Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Pediatric PACU experience

Additional Notes

Clinical review and auto offer
Must adhere to float policy
Time off may be approved up to 40 hours
No time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding certification may be submitted pending, with a stated cost of $185
