- Neonates/Infants and Adults
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- EFM
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Intermediate
Clinical Setting Highlights
- Labor and delivery unit
- Team-based unit
- Handles vaginal deliveries, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C
- 1:1–2 patient ratio
- 16 L&D beds
- Average daily census of 15
- 6-bed L&D triage
Work Expectations
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- 3 weekend shifts per contract
- 2 calls required per 6 weeks for AM and PM shifts
- Must work assigned major holidays if they fall during the contract period
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off
- Spring Break blackout dates: April 4–12
Compliance and Start Requirements
- Full compliance is required to start on time
- Background check must be complete before start
- Education verification is required
- Photo ID required
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
- 2 clinical references required
- Most recent employer verification required
- Physical exam required
- TB questionnaire required
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
- Flu vaccine or declination required
- Drug screen required
- Color blind testing required
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are accepted
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Epic is required for unit systems
