Licensed Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

Location: Elmira, New York
Employment type: Long-term assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Role includes administering respiratory therapies such as medication, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and oxygen therapy in the ICU, NICU, Emergency Department, and general floors

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New York
Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Driver's License

Onboarding / Compliance Items

License and state license verification completed within 30 days prior to start
Skills checklist for the unit, fully completed and updated annually
Core competency exam with a score of 80% or higher, updated annually
Color headshot photo in JPEG format
Agency background check completed within 30 days of start, including county, national, FACIS 3, and alias searches
9+ panel drug screen excluding marijuana
Two professional references: one supervisor reference from employment within the last 12 months, and one supervisor or peer reference from employment within the last 3 years
Employment verification for the most recent employer
Health and screening documentation including MMR, fit test, hepatitis B, TB test, varicella, Tdap, and physical/health statement
Required forms and acknowledgements listed in onboarding materials, including personal information, code of conduct, assignment confirmation, self-study packet documentation and quiz, sexual harassment acknowledgement, parking registration, drug/tobacco acknowledgement, TB questionnaire, and 7 instant background checks

Optional / Conditional

COVID-19 vaccine documentation or declination is optional
Education verification is optional
Exit interview form is optional
Reassessment form is required only for extended travelers who extend beyond one year
Name change document is optional
