Description

Registered Nurse — MedSurg Neuro & Stroke

Overview

Travel/contract role in Chesapeake, Virginia
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule options: 3x12s or 4x12s
Typical patient ratio: 1:7
Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required
Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Neurology experience
Stroke experience
Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

BLS, American Heart Association
ACLS, American Heart Association
NIHSS

Schedule Notes

Overtime is paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
Candidate must indicate preferred schedule at submission

Compliance / Submission Notes

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
Driver’s license is required for address verification before offer acceptance
Submission must include:
- Completed Qualivis Cover Sheet
- Current NURSYS report
- All requested time off listed on the Qualivis Cover Sheet
No license or background hits are accepted
