• Geropsychiatric unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• Psychiatric (3 years of experience)
• Psychiatric experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, record, and report patient symptoms and condition changes
• Perform mental and physical assessments
• Administer medications and treatments
• Assist patients with daily activities
• Observe patient reactions
• Manage therapeutic milieu activities, including daily groups and patient education
• Complete individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team
• Coordinate nursing care and conduct therapies based on patient diagnosis and needs
• Carry out physician-ordered interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, the treatment team, and outside health and social agencies
• Provide discharge planning and obtain accurate admission histories
• Complete required documentation, including admission paperwork, assessments, progress notes, interventions, evaluations, discharge paperwork, and CQI+ data

Additional Details

• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
• The assignment may be canceled for up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
