Description

Radiology Tech - Acute Care

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging
  • Location: Bozeman, Montana
  • Employment type: Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Overnight, week on/week off starting Wednesday night
  • Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Montana
  • Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience
  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association

Clinical Skills / Experience

  • Competency in advanced imaging techniques, including fluoroscopic/C-arm in the OR, trauma, portable radiography, and services to NICU, CCU, and ED within 6 months

Work Environment

  • May involve on-call work, extended hours, weekends, and after-hours shifts
  • May include exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals and medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic exams and fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Perform US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providers
  • Assist with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements
  • Perform C-arm fluoroscopy exams in the OR
  • Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
  • Retrieve written orders and related health information
  • Support patient education for prep and post-care
  • Participate in quality improvement activities
  • Educate radiography students, new hires, and radiology techs
