Inpatient Acute Physical Therapist

Role summary

  • Evaluates and provides medically prescribed physical therapy treatment.
  • Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments.
  • Develops, revises, and evaluates plans of care with patient/family involvement.
  • Provides therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques.
  • Oversees physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.

Required qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma
  • Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Driver's License

  • Signed assignment agreement
  • Health statement or completed physical exam
  • MMR documentation
  • Hepatitis B vaccination documentation or declination
  • Varicella documentation
  • Tdap vaccination
  • TB screening documentation
  • Fit test
  • Drug screen
  • EPLS check
  • Confirmation of assignment
  • Criminal background check results

Optional onboarding items

  • Influenza vaccine
  • Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire

Work expectations

  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Uses standard precautions and personal protective equipment as required.
