Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Location
- Chandler, Arizona
Contract Length
- 16 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day and evening shifts
- Start times vary
- Weekend requirement: minimum 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
- Holidays: must work 2 of 3 holidays during the holiday season
- May be first to float
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- ATCN or TNCC
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- ENPC
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Work Setting
- Emergency room
- 60 beds
- Bedside triage
- Trauma, stroke, chest pain, high-risk OB, psych holds, cardioversion, and conscious sedation cases
- 11% pediatric population
- 24/7 respiratory therapy support
- Pharmacy available 24/7
- Paramedics may start IVs
- Floating may be required between two nearby emergency departments
Additional Notes
- Moderate conscious sedation competency testing is required
- Navy scrubs
- 2–3 days of floor orientation
- Candidates must not have worked full time, part time, or PRN for certain affiliated facilities within the past year
