PCU RN Job Summary
Location
- Federal Way, Washington
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- 2 of the winter holidays
- Standby may be required if extra staff are available
Unit Details
- Progressive care unit with 24 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-4
- Charge nurse and house supervisor available 24/7
- Nursing assistants on the unit at a 1:10 ratio
- Remote monitor techs with RN approval
- Common patient types include pneumonia, ARDS, COVID-19 infection, hypertensive urgency, angina, cardiac cath patients, and ETOH withdrawal
- Respiratory support on the unit includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Required Qualifications
- PCU experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Ability to titrate drips
Floating
- Floating is required within the region to other hospitals in Burien and Seattle when needed
Additional Notes
- ASAP start
- Free on-site parking
- May need to flex to day shifts
